Edith Beale at Grey Gardens

Edith Beale was an aspiring actress who came to live with her mother at their
East Hampton mansion. Cousin to Jacqueline Kennedy, Edith became a hermit
and caused a scandal when health inspectors deemed her home unfit to live in.
She is most noted as the subject of the documentary Grey Gardens.
